Tracy McHale Stuart, CFA
Managing Partner, Chief Executive Officer

Tracy is responsible for management of the firm and is a member of Corbinís Investment Committee and Private Investment Committee. Prior to joining Corbin in April 2004, Tracy was Managing Director and Head of the Global Multi-Manager Strategies group at Goldman Sachs Asset Management where she created and managed an $11B external manager of managers business. Previously, Tracy worked at BARRA/RogersCasey Strategic Consulting Group (ďBSCGĒ) as a Managing Director with responsibility for launching and managing the West Coast consulting team. During this time, she advised U.S. and non-U.S. investment organizations on strategic planning initiatives. Prior to BSCG, she was a consultant at Wilshire Associates, Inc. and a financial analyst at SEI Corporation. Tracy graduated from UCLA with a B.A. in Economics. She received her M.I.M. from the American Graduate School of International Management (Thunderbird) and was awarded the CFA charter in 1992.

Anthony Anselmo

Managing Partner, Chief Operating Officer

Anthony is responsible for financial reporting, operations, operational due diligence, technology, legal and compliance related matters for the firm. Anthony is a member of the Investment Committee, the Private Investment Committee, and the Valuation Committee. Prior to joining Corbin in March 2004, Anthony was the Chief Administrative Officer for Blackstone Alternative Asset Management, L.P. (ďBlackstoneĒ), a multi-manager hedge fund program managing over $8B in assets at the time. Prior to Blackstone, he was the Chief Financial Officer for Muzinich & Co., Inc., an internationally oriented financial services firm. Additionally, Anthony worked at Citibank as a Senior Financial Manager for Citicorp Global Asset Management and was a Second Vice President at Chase Manhattan Corporation, an Assistant Controller for the International Group at McGraw-Hill Inc., and a Senior Accountant at Arthur Andersen & Co. Anthony graduated magna cum laude from Hofstra University with a B.B.A. in Accounting and received his M.B.A. in Finance from New York University. He is a Certified Public Accountant and was awarded the CFA charter in 1996.

Craig Bergstrom

 

Craig Bergstrom, CFA
Managing Partner, Chief Investment Officer

Craig leads investment research and portfolio management and has responsibility for investment process and results across Corbin. He also has direct investment research responsibilities for Corbinís investments in credit and relative value strategies, including portfolio management for our credit opportunity program, direct and co-investments and our hedge overlay program. Craig is a member of the Investment Committee, the Private Investment Committee, the Valuation Committee and the Hedging and Allocation Committee. Prior to joining Corbin in January 2002, Craig was the Risk Manager at Grantham Mayo Van Otterloo & Co. LLC (ďGMOĒ), a then $20+ billion institutional investment management firm, where he had responsibilities for firm wide market risk management, hedge fund product development and derivatives strategy. Prior to joining GMO, he was a Vice President in the Equity Derivatives group at Salomon Smith Barney, and previously worked in the Equity Structured Products group at Morgan Stanley. Craig graduated from Dartmouth College with a B.A. in Government, and he was awarded the CFA charter in 1997.

Daniel Friedman

 

Daniel Friedman, Esq.
Senior Partner, General Counsel

Daniel is responsible for the oversight of legal and compliance related matters for the firm. He is a member of the Valuation Committee, Private Investment Committee, Brokerage and Counterparty Risk Committee and Compliance and Risk Assessment Committee. Prior to joining Corbin in September 2004, he was with Willkie Farr and Gallagher LLP, where he focused on the alternative investment management industry. Daniel received a B.A. in Political Science from Columbia College and a J.D./M.B.A. from Columbia Law School and Columbia Business School.

Robert Zellner

Senior Partner, Deputy Chief Investment Officer

Rob is responsible for portfolio management for the firmís global macro strategies. He also works closely with Corbinís CIO on corporate and asset-backed credit strategies. Rob is a member of the Investment Committee, the Private Investment Committee, and the Hedging and Allocation Committee. Prior to joining Corbin in April 2005, Rob worked with Optima Fund Management in New York as a Vice President of Research focusing on†manager research and due diligence for Optima's fund of funds products. Previously, Rob was a Vice President in†the Fixed Income Portfolio Analytics Group at BlackRock Financial Management, where he advised on many of their top mortgage banking†relationships. Rob graduated from Princeton University, where he received an A.B. in Economics with a Certificate in Political Economy.

Adriana M. Clancy

 

Adriana M. Clancy
Partner, Research & Portfolio Management

Adriana leads the firmís fundamental research and sourcing of investments in equities and credit in Europe, where she was based for Corbin from 2006-2008. She also works on opportunities in Asia and North America. Adriana is a member of Corbinís Investment Committee. Prior to joining Corbin in May 2004, Adriana was with Goldman, Sachs & Co. as an Equities Trader focused on TMT stocks. Adriana also worked at JP Morgan & Co., where she was an Equity Research Associate covering Latin American food and beverages. Previously, she worked in JP Morgan & Co.ís Internal Consulting Group. Adriana received her M.B.A. in Finance from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a B.A. in Spanish from Dartmouth College.

John Hartwell Cocke

 

John Hartwell Cocke, CFA
Partner, Director of Special Investments

John focuses on long/short equity and corporate and asset-backed credit strategies, and also plays a lead role in the firmís special situations and co-investment program. John is a member of the Investment Committee, the Private Investment Committee, and the Valuation Committee. Prior to joining Corbin in March 2006, John was with UBS Investment Bank as an Analyst in the Global Telecommunications Group. Previously, he was an Investment Analyst at Bluestem Asset Management LLC, a hedge fund investment firm, where he performed research and participated in a variety of additional functions.† While at Bluestem, John was a Graduate Instructor at the University of Virginia, McIntire School of Commerce where he taught Introductory Financial Accounting and Managerial Accounting classes. John earned his M.S. in Accounting and B.S. in Commerce from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia and was awarded the CFA charter in 2007.

Matthew H.  Glasofer

 

Matthew H. Glasofer
Partner, Director of Research

As director of research, Matt oversees the firmís research process and pipeline. Matt also researches long/short equity strategies, leads our investments in Latin America and plays a key role in Corbinís equity co-investment program. Matt is a member of the Investment Committee. Prior to joining Corbin in October 2006, Matt was a Co-Portfolio Manager at Asgard Capital Management, LLC, where he managed equity long/short separate accounts. Prior to joining Asgard, he worked as an Analyst at Watchpoint Asset Management and Archery Capital. Previously, Matt worked as an Associate Equity Research Analyst at Goldman, Sachs & Co. He began his career as an auditor at Arthur Andersen, LLP, where he earned his CPA (Maryland). Matt graduated from Muhlenberg College with a B.A in Accounting.

Alan Chuang

 

Alan Chuang
Partner, Director of Portfolio Solutions & Risk Management

Alan is responsible for managing customized portfolios and overseeing the risk management and quantitative analysis functions.† Alan is a member of the Investment Committee and the Hedging and Allocation Committee. Prior to joining Corbin in May 2011, Alan was a principal and head of investment strategies at Antarctica Asset Management, a fund of hedge funds.†Prior to Antarctica, he served as head of portfolio management at Ivy Asset Management.† He also served as the director of hedge fund investments at the Social Security Administration of the Government of Kuwait.† He began his career at†JP Morgan in emerging markets.† Alan received a Sc.B. in Electrical Engineering, magna cum laude, from Brown University†and an M.B.A. in Finance from The Wharton School.

Cesar Bello, Esq.

Partner, Deal Counsel, Deputy General Counsel

Cesar is responsible for assisting with the oversight of legal matters for the firm, primarily operating as deal counsel for the investment team. His responsibilities include structuring and negotiating private transactions across asset classes, including in private lending, structured credit, equity oriented investments and other joint venture and co-investment opportunities. He is a member of the Private Investment Committee. Prior to joining Corbin in June 2010, he worked at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP and Ivy Asset Management LLC among others. Cesar received a B.S. in Finance (summa cum laude) from the University of Florida, a J.D. from New York University School of Law and an M.B.A. from New York University Stern School of Business.

Gwen Gold

 

Gwen Gold
Partner, Director of Marketing & Client Relations

Gwen is responsible for developing and managing Corbinís strategic relationships with institutions, clients and investment consultants globally. Additionally, she has management responsibilities for Corbinís marketing and client relations functions. Prior to joining Corbin in August 2011, Gwen served as Vice President of Consultant Relations for Goldman Sachs Asset Management, focusing on institutional investment consultants. Prior to joining GSAM in 2002, she worked for Carnegie Capital Asset Management Company, providing client service to high net worth individuals, assisting portfolio managers and supporting the marketing efforts of the firm. Gwen graduated from Wittenberg University with a B. A. in Management.

Steven Carlino

 

Steven Carlino, CPA (New York)
Partner, Chief Financial Officer

Steve is responsible for managing the financial functions of the firm and is a member of the Private Investment Committee, the Valuation Committee, Brokerage and Counterparty Risk Committee, and the Compliance and Risk Assessment Committee. Prior to joining Corbin in March 2009, he was the Chief Financial Officer of SG Asset Management Inc., a manager of hedge funds, fund of hedge funds and other alternative investment businesses. Previously, he served as Chief Operating Officer of Safra Asset Management Inc. which acquired the fund of hedge funds business of Alpha Investment Management LLC, where Steve was Managing Director in charge of operations. Additionally, he spent 10 years with Prudential Securities Incorporated where he was the Chief Financial Officer/Controller of the alternative investments businesses. Steve began his career in 1986 with Ernst & Young LLP where he spent 6 years as an auditor. Steve graduated summa cum laude from the State University of New York at Albany with a B.S in accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Christina Neilson

Christina Neilson
Partner, Chief Administrative Officer

Christina is responsible for anticipating and managing the organizational, logistical and administrative needs of the firm. Her responsibilities include human resources planning and strategy, employee relations and performance management, recruiting, organizational development, compensation analysis, succession planning, firm philanthropy, facilities, business planning, staff development and special projects. Prior to joining Corbin in June 2004, she spent two years in administration at the University of California, San Diego. Previously, she worked in the Research and Legal departments at the San Francisco-based investment bank, Robertson Stephens. Christina graduated from Sonoma State University with a B.A. in English Literature and Creative Writing and holds a certificate in Human Resource Management from New York University.
